I suppose there's no chance the real game is bilingual like the English trailer is, where the English text is printed next to the Japanese dialog box? I mean they'd localize it normally for sure, right? But that would be a really cool language learning tool if games did that! The resolution is high ...

Yeah, it came out a few months before Lunar 2, for what that's worth. I think it's just that it was a pretty funny game to begin with and they hit the tone pretty consistently. I do remember trying to compare some scenes on youtube in both languages before and finding that in general the English ...
